I let out a soft moan as the light shone through the blinds into my eyes. I sat up and the room spun. I was
inside again? It was confusing as I tried to gather my thoughts. Glancing to my left was Terri, blinking
sleepily up at me, her hair hanging in her eyes.
"Morning baby.." she said softly, smiling.
"How did I get in here? I..I don't remember anything," I said, rubbing my temples. Man, I had a banger of a
headache.
"I carried you in after you passed out," she said, leaning in to nuzzle me.
"Oh..." I blushed, remembering passing out from the bite. "I've been out all night?"
"That's pretty typical," she told me. "The same thing happened to me."
I tried to sit up, and she pushed me back down effortlessly. "Rest," she said. "You're weak. Your body's
slowly adapting. Your immune system is fighting it, but the werewolf 'infection' is going to overwhelm it."
I coughed, acutely aware of the swollen glands in my throat and the cold sweat that covered me. "Fuck..you
didn't mention I'd get sick." I hated being sick. Oh, how I hated it!
She smirked. "Would that REALLY have stopped you? Plus, it's the last time you're going to have anything worse
than allergies, so suck it up." She nuzzled her face against my neck and inhaled sharply. "Mmmhh..I can smell
the wolf in you, getting stronger. It's soo sexy..."
I smiled and nuzzled her in response, and noticed IMMEDIATELY that she smelled REALLY good to me. "Wow..you
smell REALLY good. Do you always smell this good after you change back to human?"
She laughed. "You're smelling my normal scent, love. You're just smelling it with new senses."
I coughed again. "Should I go make chicken soup?"
She snickered. "You'll be fine by moonrise, honey," she told me. "But I think some beef broth would make you
feel much better. I can make us some."
"So, am I going to change tonight?" I asked.
