“What’s happening? I want my mommy! I want to get down!” Robert whimpers and tries to squirm out of Sarah’s grip. “There, there it won’t be so bad… soon you’ll forget everything and this will just be a bad dream” Sarah whispers and continues to rub the puppy’s ears. Robert begins to calm down and begins to get a bit drowsy from his ear massage “Why does everything smell so strong?” he smells Sarah’s hand for a few seconds and inhale her strong smell and then give the base of her thumb a testing nip. “Ouch!” Sarah exclaims as the sharp puppy teeth’s nip her flesh. She looks into Robert’s brown dog eyes and Robert looks up curiously at her. “If I put you down on the floor again, then do you promise you won’t make any trouble?” Robert lets out a loud bark and Sarah smiles, as she presume he meant to say “Ok” and puts him down back on the floor. “Now don’t go too far this time… that’s what got you into this mess in the first place…”
Robert stands a bit confused on the floor and looks around. A thousand thoughts rush through his mind. What happened really happened these last minutes? Why does everything smell so strong? Why is that lady who just picked me up gathering all of my clothes? How was she able to pick me up? Robert sits down on his haunches and looks around and tries to identify all the smells in the room. Suddenly he’s spots something long and interesting behind him. As the thing begins to move back and forth Robert quickly turns around and tries to catch it. But just as he’s about to do it, it’s gets out of reach. The escape of this thing only makes the hunt more enjoyable and he attacks again.
Sarah watches the little puppy with interest as he has begun to chase his own tail. Seeing the little puppy tumbling around on the floor trying to catch his tail brings a smile to her face.
