Young Master Patrick found a quiet out of the corner spot
in the 2nd floor of the magic shop and carefully observed his
targets down below,the two shop keepers .
Whelan and Sons was having some industrial espionage problems,
which was the reason his parents were absent.They were busy
looking for the 'Right Stuff"
Patrick thought he'd already found the right stuff in Mr Barrow and
Miss Parker.He'd hacked Whelan and Son's mainframe and read up on the
corporations various employees and agents and associates.Being into
western frontier lore Patrick had connected the faces of Parker and Barrow
at a recent corporate doo where everyone had gathered for a company
photo with a old yellowed pair of mugshots from 1885 when a
Sharkey Barnes and Alice Parkinson had been arrested by Bat Masterson
for disturbing the peace in Deadwood.
Now Patrick had in his possession the latest experimental toy
from Whelan and Sons eggheads,a combined holographic impulse
projector and localized time machine and rejuvenator.
Patrick wanted to see the two shopkeepers in action,and earlier had
planted various props and costumes inside and outside the magic shop,including
4 sets of ancient horseshoes in the dust in front of the store
and some outfits worn by some of the old wests lawmen amongst the
costumes down on the lower floor.
Patrick pushed the 'ON' button of his gizmo and pointed
it at the various props and clothing.
Angela was humming "Marching Down to Georgia" to
herself as she dusted the clothing racks,and never noticed the
black lawmans outfit shimmer and fill as Bat Mastersons hologram
filled it up.
The hologram,pasty faced and red eyed reached out a talon like
hand and seized Miss Parker by her shoulder...
