With the body switch accomplished, the memory transfer in place, and both her and Alli looking just as she
wanted, Elle figured that it was now or never. Walking back over to the MasterPC, she took a deep breath
before beginning to type.

Hitting enter, she held her breath, waiting for her daughter to stir. Allison blinked several times and
then looked around confused for a second. When she saw Elle she looked over at her uncomprehendingly and said
"Alli, what are you doing home so early?" Elle breathed easier at this confirmation that her plan was working.
However, for what seemed to be the hundredth time during this roller coaster of a day, her relief was
premature. Alli continued to look about the room in confusion, her eyes finally settling on the computer in
front of Elle. The sight of Elle near it seemed to make her uncomfortable.
"Alli what are you doing with my computer?" she asked nervously. Too nervously for it to just be about her
daughter using her laptop. Unless... Elle looked back up at her previous commands, and realized that she might
have just made a critical mistake. She had given Alli all of her memories, and that probably included the ones
about the artifacts. She looked back to Alli and their eyes met warily. She knew all right.
Now it was Elle's turn to be nervous. She licked her lips tensely. Elle's hands were on either side of the
computer, just inches away from the keyboard, but Alli was close, only feet away. She guessed she'd only have
one chance to make a move before Alli would be on her. They stared intently at each other, waiting for one to
make the first move. Elle was just thinking about how foolish it was for her to be having a standoff with
herself when Alli lunged.
