As Alli lunged Elle only just had time to dart her hand to the keyboard and hit "enter". Alli froze in mid-
lunge, suddenly returning to her previous calm state. Elle hadn't realized she had been holding her breath.
She gasped once, sucking in a deep breath. She thanked her luck that she had thought to type a just-in-case
command into the MasterPC.
>>Allison is in a trance again
Her caution had saved her, but it had been a close call. She looked at the clock nervously. Her remaining
children, Steven and Brianna, were due back at any moment. She'd have to work quickly or things were going to
get much more complicated. Typing quickly, she typed in a hastily thought out plan to keep the artifacts out
of the wrong hands.
>>Alli has all of Elle's memories up to today at noon. She has no memory of ordering the Complete
Transformation Package online or of using the artifacts inside. Instead she remembers a normal day at home.
Figuring that was enough to solve her immediate problem, she decided that she was going to need to make
sure no one else could stumble upon them either.
>>Everyone but Elle is unaware of the existence of the Complete Transformation Package. If anyone sees any
the included items, they will dismiss them and ignore them as if they don't exist. No one but Elle will pay
any attention to her computer, and if they see it they will act as if it is not there.
Elle hoped that would be enough to keep her family, or anyone else for that matter, from discovering
anything they weren't supposed to. Elle was getting uncomfortable with the number of mistakes she was making,
and vowed to be more cautious. Elle readied her self for another try. Picking up her laptop she moved over
into the adjoining dining room, still in view but well out of reach before typing:
>>Allison is no longer in a trance
Elle's fingers were already moving typing another freeze command by the time Allison began to wake.
Fortunately, it wouldn't be needed this time. Turning to look at Elle, Alli said "Alli, is that you? When did
you get home?"
So far so good. She wasn't looking at the computer at all. "Couple minutes ago mom. I snuck in quietly."
"Well I'll say, I didn't hear a thing. What are you doing down here, I would thought you'd already be
fussing getting ready for your date tonight."
Elle thought for a second, and the memory inserted itself into her head. That's right, she had her first
date with Brian Teague tonight. Crap, Elle hadn't planned on something like this! What was she going to do?
Seeing her look of panic Alli looked at her incredulously. "Now don't tell me you forgot? Honestly you'd
forget your own head if it wasn't attached. Go on go. You better get ready." With an indulgent smile Allison
waved her daughter out of the room. Elle, needing to collect her thoughts, quickly threw the laptop and remote
into the box of artifacts, grabbed it, and ran upstairs to collect her thoughts. Elle's mind raced. She
couldn't really on a date could she? I mean that would be weird she was married. But another part of her mind
said that this was exactly what she had wanted, to live her daughter's life. She couldn't back out out now.
She was still going back and forth when...
