"I am officer Toby, and this here is officer David. We are here investigating multiple missing persons cases that all seem to run through this area."
Zeke calmly straightened up, never losing his bemused grin. "Most folks just seem to blow past this little town of ours, but I can see that you fellas are quite serious. Let me lead you to the station and we can go over the details."
Without another word Zeke left for his patrol car, entered and began talking on his radio before starting the engine.
Toby let Zeke pass by and shortly followed behind him. He nervously shifted in his seat. He did not like this one bit, he could feel his blood starting to get cold.
David noticed his partners concern. "He seemed friendly enough, a real gentle giant. Once we get to the office we can compare notes and figure out what is going on around here."
Toby snorted to himself. He didn't like this Zeke character one bit. That grin of his told him that the big guy was hiding something. However, Toby knew his regulations. He had to cooperate with local law enforcement and work with them to solve the case.
Zeke turned into the concrete square looking building with several empty police cars parked around it. They all exited their cars and Zeke led them into the building.
Inside there were 3 other male officers each nearly as big as Zeke. Toby and David noticed a female officer, but the cut of her uniform appeared more appropriate for a stripper then an officer of the law. She moved from desk to desk gathering and moving papers for the officers. She seemed to purposely drop a few just to allow herself to bend over to show off her displaying cleavage at the 2 officers.
Toby smiled inwardly, but quickly shook himself to his senses. He nudged David to break his lustful gaze on the young woman.
Zeke chuckled from the side of the office caught their attention as he motioned to a door. "Step into my office gentlemen. Let's see what we can do for you."
David and Toby followed in behind. Zeke took his seat behind a large empty wooden desk without so much as a piece of paper on it. The room was completely windowless and dark with the exception of a single ceiling light above. The door closed behind them on its own and Toby noted a quick flash of light as it sealed.
David clearly alarmed started to move towards Zeke. "What is going on..."
Wham!
David collided with what seemed to be an invisible glass wall between them and Zeke. He stumbled backwards holding his head.
Toby looked down on his partner and quickly back to Zeke. He reached into his coat instinctively for his weapon only to find an empty holster.
Zeke opened one of the drawers of his desk and produced a small handgun. "Looking for this, I assume? Sorry, to put you trough all this, but neither of you should even be here. We need to figure out what went wrong and that unfortunately means taking it slow, not really my style. You boys sit tight and we will get to you as soon as we can." Zeke flashed one more smile and then disappeared into thin air.
