Finally things rolled around to midnight,and the
openning act consisted of the members of Sha Na Na singing
"Life Is But a Dream Shh Booom Shh Boom..." whilst levitating
in the air above the stage thanks to pixie dust.
Alas the tweeny cat fae girls didn't appreciate the human
bands performance,and Humpty Dumpty the MC had to calm down a
lot of hissing spitting yowelling cat girls.
He succeeded and the audience of faes and humans ( with the
odd ogre in there ) went deathly silent as the sound of pianofortes could
be heard twinkling out some 18th century "Ode to the Faerie Queen"
and as the curtain rose you could see the three bitch poodles all decked
out in their ballroom gowns plinking at the pianofortes,whilst
off to one side a nattily dressed werewolf in breeches and greatcoat and a
dragonfae in similar attire were having a scholarly discussion on
Mozarts latest composition "The Seighelm of Fafnir"
All pretty typical of a fae domestic scene in a 18th century fae parlour.
Then a ordinary cat wandered on stage and began meowing as she nosed
a toy mouse...
