"That will have caught their attention!" stated Mantula proudly as he turns to Preytis and points to the trapped form of Blue Victory with his hairy claw, " I believe it is time we prepared for the hunt Preytis, my reconnaissence showed 5 strong individuals that will endeavour to rescue this one!"
Preytis scuttled up to Ryan's cocooned form, "It will be interestig which of our techniques is best in this game, your trap was effective on this one but we shall see how my darts will fair for the main event!"
With that Mantula started back up the metal staircase, "Tch! I have more than traps in my reportoire my esteemed rival, I have a few tricks up my sleeve...or at least back in the hold!" he then turned and left the room.
Ryan's eyes shifted from one to the other during the verbal exchange, all the while trying to break out of the tight and now completely hardened shell. With Mantula out of the room his gaze was locked on Preytis whose claw Ryan could feel through the cocoon on his chest. "He didn't mention any new tricks" cursed the large mantid, "but two can play at that game."
Ryan's eye went wide as the mantid held his sickle-like talon to his neck and with a stroke the slimey shell receded freeing his head and neck. Ryan, realising he needed air again gave a huge gasp. With another of its many limbs, Preytis seized the opportunity and forced a set of ferocious mandibles into Ryan's gaping mouth.
"Mmmmph!" muffled Ryan as the new vicious mouthpiece locked, fused over his own, and very quickly even the muffles diminished and replaced with the clicks as Ryan randomly open and closed his scissor-like mandibles.
Sharp pain shot into Ryan's forehead as two long needles were forced there by the sadistic insectoid. Then from the needles he could feel tingles emanating from them into his whole body. Ryan looked up as far as he could and could just make out the ends of two antennae.
Mantula then used his talon to force the cocoon to recede completely, leaving Ryan still standing to attention as if the shell was still there. Ryan couldn't make anything below his neck move an inch, but a quick tingle from the antennae and his body involuntarily went into a standing spreadeagle form.
Ryan kept on struggling to move even as the Arthropian stabbed two extra segmented limbs into his sides. Ryan clicked frantically with his mandibles at the stabbing pain in his side, but as it subsided , Ryan dared to look down at his body, which had begun to take on a glossy sheen. He could feel his costume seemingly fuse with his skin and segmentation was just starting. He looked up at his hand in horror as the fingers fused into two fingers that segmented and curved into more vicious claws. The same was happening at his feet as the toe of each boot began to lengthen and become more pointed. Another tingle and more pained wracked Ryan's hips as his spread legs began to twist backwards with an audible crack, causing him to fall forward onto his awaiting forelimbs, which grew a few sharp spikes down their length.
Ryan then felt an intrusion in his rear and turned to see Preytis complete the final part of the process. The creature had inserted what appeared to be an ovoid bottle into his backend. In moments the bottle glowed blue and began to inflate as his torso shrank, bringing the six segmented limbs closer together.
Finally Ryan's vision blurred as a mosaic of little lenses began to cover his eyes until he found it impossible to see any forms again and now relying on his new antennae to show the world around him.
"There we go now my little hunting pet, that will have evened the odds now!" Explained the hunter to his new pet.
Ryan could now move but was completely lost in a sea of alien sensations trying to make sense of what his antennae were telling him. He tried to get up into a standing position but his body seemed locked on all six legs and stumbled around as he tried to walk.
