Jake quickly unwrapped his towel and gave his head a quick rub dry before throwing his towel over a shoulder. Jake was too short to look through the eyewhole, so he called out, "Who is it?"
"It's me!" replied the very familiar voice. Jake excitidly open the door for his best friend Drake. His friend lived accross the street, and they often hung out on the weekend. "Hey Jake!" Drake greeted him as he walked inside. He was dressed in a simple T-shirt and a bathing suite. His towel also around his shoulder. "You already started swimming with out me?" Drake said with a pouty face. "We're supposed to be pracicing together."
Jake was confused for a moment but then slapped his head when he realized his mistake. "I'm sorry Drake. I completly forgot; I have had a really crazy, cool couple of days. But I'll make it up to you, I promise." Josh suddenly remembered the necklaces in his hands. "Hey, take a look at this, but just don't put it on yet."
Drake took the chain and rolled it around in his hands. "What is this? It looks like half of an eagle?"
"Half of a two-headed eagle actually." Jake corrected held the other chain for his friend to look at. "See, I have the other half here. These little things are sooooo cool. They actualy stick you together with someone. You have like... two heads. One is you and the other is someone elese."
Drake looked doubtful. "Sure they do, just like how Captain Awesome can shoot meat from his eyes with his meat vision."
"No, they really do work."
"Yeah right!"
"No, they do. Just follow me, I'll show you." Jake grabbed his friend's shoulder and puled him toward the backyard. Kevin and Kyle were still sleeping on the matress in the middle of the pool. "SEE!"
When Drake spoted the two-headed guy, he couldn't believe his eyes. His mouth dropped and his eyes widened. "No... way... The necklaces actually do that!"
"Uh-hu!" Jake grinned. "But you have to be careful because your stuck with that person until someone else wears the necklace. Do you want to try it?!"
