Inside of the package was an unfamiliar device containing what appeared to be a an energy sphere hovering within some kind of field.
Curiosity overtook her and she touched the energy sphere. Upon touching it, a massive energy wave shot out in all directions, causing cracks to appear in the air; it was as if reality it's self was cracking. frightened, she took a few steps back. Just as she reached the rear of the room, the cracks blew open, a horde of creatures came rushing through, clawing at everything. She noticed only intense rage from the creatures who destroyed everything in their path.
She was mortified at what was unleashed upon the world, so she took it upon herself to stop these creatures. She quickly rushed upstairs to her room where she kept her trusty old sword made up of titanium and tungsten carbide for the edge of the blade. She knew it would come in handy someday for she lived in the bad part of town.
Her hope was short lived as she confronted the creatures and attempted to hit them with the sword, the creature did a large slash, instantly shredding the upper portion of the sword to pieces as if it were never really there in the first place.
Fearing for her life yet again, she made her way back upstairs and the creature she attacked proceeded to follow her. Meanwhile countless more creatures continued to pour out of the crack, they began to spread out in all directions along a horizontal plane, destroying everything in their path.
Rachel, still in her room began to feel the house come down, and before she could react, the floor gave way and she fell to the first floor, along with the creature that had chased her.
Disoriented from the fall, she ran in a random direction, she did not care where she was heading as long as it was away from the enraged creature.
As things became more clear to her, she noticed the destruction caused by the creatures. The creatures appeared to be senselessly destroying everything without priority, when suddenly she herd an incredibly loud sound from where her house once stood. The creatures immediately stopped for a few seconds before turning their attention to the people. Their speed greatly increased. The creature that had been chasing her charged at her quickly closing the gap between her. Within a few milliseconds, she felt as if she were doing a front flip, everything was silent, before hearing a deafening sonic boom. Most of her body had been completely destroyed.
Everything went black just as her still living head reached the apex and began to fall to the ground.
An unknown amount of time later, she awoke in a location completely surrounded by fire. Her memories began to slip away and an uncontrollable rage began to build up in her. Her rage compelled her to head towards a bright white flame in the distance. Upon reaching it she ended up in the ruins of her home. Immediately, she proceeded to run at great speeds, killing entire families.... She had become one of them, and could not help herself. She thought nothing as she ripped apart people she once knew. Within hours, all life on half of the planet had been destroyed.
