This years furry convention was a lively one. Every guest in the building had heard that the newest version of the Chronivac machine had the ability to change multiple subjects at the same time, and everyone had brought their own animal costume in case they were going to be transformed. People were wearing costumes from every genre available. Everyone in the building was excitedly waiting for the Chronivac to arrive, and and a large crowd had already formed in the middle of the large building where a large screen and computer was being set up. Then as a representative from TransDem Labs walked onto the stage, the crowd fell silent.
"Welcome everyone! I'm sure you're all very exited to be here. Today, on new years eve, we're hoping to start the creation of a new subspecies of mankind and it will start in this very building! When you leave this building next year, it will be as part of a new evolved branch of humanity and we hope you enjoy the ride.
But before we begin changing everyone, I would like everyone to arrange themselves in groups representing the animal species they are dressed as. Please take a moment to do so."
After a while of frantic scrambling, everyone was standing with their own group of mammals, avians, reptiles, hybrids, inflatables, and mythical creatures.
"Thank you for your cooperation! Each group will be transformed separately starting with the largest group and ending with the smallest. After each transformation, the group that has just been transformed will be given a few minutes to show off their new powers and abilities and will be asked to wait in the dining hall for the rest of the transformees to join them, and after a celebratory meal, various contests will be held and the winner of each group will be awarded an additional transformation. And now without further delay, I would like to ask the first group to come on to the stage. The group that will be transformed first is..."
