I was so hot! The temperature must of been 30 degrees! I decided to go
for a swim in the sea to cool myself down. I slipped on my wetsuit and
ran straight in. The sea was so refreshing and cold. I had a great
time swimming around in the waves. After a bit I left to grab some
lunch from the chip shop nearby. While there I heard a news report
about a leak of some chemicals to the sea. It says that only a small
dose was released; enough for one person, maybe more. I didn't worry
about it since it was probably just nothing.
After finishing my chips I zipped up my wetsuit again and ran back in.
I was a pretty skinny boy. I was 14 and 5ft 3 so a bit average. It
didn't bother me because I lived in a place where no one was horrible
or bad about it. Only my mate Dave who was 5ft 8. He just teased me a
bit and made jokes. I didn't mind.
I swam around and then noticed something in the water. It was a green
liquid that had stained the water. I swam over to see what is was. I
saw it slowly disappear while I floated in it. Suddenly I felt a
stiffness all over my body. I felt like screaming but I couldn't move!
I felt myself sinking into the water. I was going to die. It was over.
And then it stopped...
