Kyle was completely lost for words at his brother's actions; Josh had actually fused himself with Dan. Kyle cursed under his breathe, "He must have planned this all along." Kyle's stun finally wore off enough for him to crotch beside the door. Like in his youth, he placed his ear against door to listen in on the muffled conversation between the two-headed teen that was his brother and Dan. He wasn't able to make out everything, but what he did surprised him. There were no screams of confusion or voices arguing with each other. Dan seemed to accept the situation with little problem at all. "Well, maybe Josh's plan will work out for the best. This will defiantly be better than having to spend the mornings attached to him." Kyle whispered to himself, sounding very relieved.
Then he remembered Jake. He cursed under his breathe again for almost forgetting to drive Kevin's little brother to school. He quickly rushed down the stairs, almost tripping himself since he was kind of unaccustomed to being alone. When he slammed the driver's door shut, it was Jake's turn to be lost for words. "Finally you guys come... Uh... K-Kyle... where's Josh? We're you two just..." He was busy playing his gameboy and didn't see Dan drive up.
"Josh is... hanging out with a friend right now." Kyle responded as he ignited the car engine. He quickly explained what happend after taking one look at Jake's face. "I didn't throw my chain at some random person to get away. Though, that isn't such a bad idea... Joking Jake! No, my brother's friend stopped by; apparently Josh invited him over to play Halo. They graduated so they don't have school, just jobs which start around noon." A few minutes later, Kyle pulled into Jake's school. Jake thanked him for the ride, and dashed off for his classroom before the final bell started to ring.
Kyle got lost in his thoughts as he drove out of the school parking lot. Since Josh and Dan were joined, that actually made their whole joining schedule fit better; Kyle wouldn't have to miss his useless first period class. In fact, Josh and Dan, if they were still getting along in their close proximity, could probably remain while every one else was in school. They did have their jobs around noon every weekday but that wouldn't be a problem Of all the places to find a job, both of them decide to work at a year round costume shop where the uniforms were whatever kind of costume you wanted to wear, so long as you had your name tag pinned on the front.
Kyle's mind was brought back to reality when the car infront of him suddenly stopped. He had barely enough time to slam on the breaks, managing to stop just inches from the other car's bumper. "Wow! Watch it!" he yelled, even though the other driver couldn't hear him. Kyle took this as a sign to head to school.
