Dan was really starting to freak out now. He was running through the wooded area with no control of his limbs; the urge to keep moving forward was impossible to break. Glancing down at the chain still around his neck, he cursed to himself for not taking it off like Josh had done with his. "Josh!" he tried calling out again, but he knew that he was probably too far away now. Somehow forests were really good at hiding sounds.
Suddenly Alex burst through a layer of bushes infront of Dan. He was just as surprised to see Dan as Dan was to see him. Neither had control of their body so they kept running, getting closer and closer. Finally the two slammed into each other, though it wasn't painful like both expected. Instead their skin, their clothes, melted and sliped through each other's. They looked like a pair of mashed up dolls giving each other an awkward hug. Dan's and Alex's arms were sticking through each other's chest and stomach. Dan's right knee was half way through Alex's left thigh. The only thing that wasn't fused with something else were their heads, which were pressed up against each other cheek to cheek. Miraculously, they didn't collapse on impact. They were actually frozen a few feet in the air.
After a few moments of pointless struggling and screaming the magic of the chains began to unfuse the mixed up pair, only to be fused back together in the normal fashion. When it finally ended, so did the magic keeping them in the air. They crashed to the ground, and the impact smacked their heads together, instantly knocking them both out.

"Dan! Where are you?!" Josh called. He was yelling as loud as he could, but with no answer. His voice was starting to go hoarse, but he ignored it. "Dan!" He searched around an area of the woods, the place where he thought Dan had ran into. But it was like he vanished into thin air. That, or Josh was just horrible at searching for thing. Josh checked his phone for the time and cursed. It was already 3:00. He had been searching for a good hour and a half with no success, and the sun was going to set in another two hours or less.
He couldn't understand why Dan and his new body partner weren't yelling for Josh or something that would alert him to where they were. Josh had realized while chasing after Dan what had happened. It was the same thing that happened to his brother and that little shrimp kid... Jake. Kyle was asleep so of course he wouldn't have moved, but Jake was wide awake and had no choice but to rush to the other chain and link up with it. Though Dan's situation was more theatrical. Josh reasoned that Dan and whoever he joined were further apart so running was the only way to close the distance quickly. Still, why weren't they making any noise.
He couldn't imagine anyone who knew about the chains would put it on. Or maybe they had. Josh took out his phone again and dialed his brother. Thankfully, Kyle picked up on the second ring. "Kyle I need your help..." Josh managed to explain the situation before Kyle started yelling at him for being such idiot. Josh kept his cool though, mainly for the sake of his friend. He was worried for him now. "Just get over here as fast as you can." Josh replied. When Josh hung up, Kyle was going to grab Kevin and the two of them were going to rush over to the woods as quickly as possible.
