AUTHORS NOTE: the future branches of this story can take place on any of the
mentioned planets and ones you can think up, the main part of the story should
however be on the planet this chapter focuses on.
The year is 2096. Earth has hundreds of colonized planets out there. Thanks to
scientists finding out how to alter DNA, humans can adapt to any type of environment
the new planets can have. Different groups of people go different places. There is a
planet for skaters, one for suffers, then there are odd ones like a planet for twilight
fans, one for anime fans, and of corse there are rumors of an all clowns planet.
There is one named Barbarious, named for the fact that it's people can be compared
to barbarians. This planet has native life that is more like animals then people (they
are not intelligent) that makes life hard for humans. To fix this they used the DNA
change to make themselves super strong and muscular. They wear clothes like
barbarians too, men and boys only wear shorts and sandals, where the women and
girls wear shorts, sandals, and very short belly shirts (which is ok for both seeing as
the planets climate is always hot). They are also called barbarians because,
unfortunately, the transformation has to take away from the brain to add more muscle,
make the population kind of dumb. This transformation is required to live there. If you
are a visitor then you must get a temporary change that wears off once you leave,
unless you choose to stay and make it permanent.
Your name is Hunter, you are 10. You and your mom, Crystal, your dad, Tom, and
your little brother, Alex, who is 8, are moving from the Mars colony to Barbarious (you
have never been to earth). You can't wait as you get on the ship to go. (or you can be
someone else moving to another planet, then describe the planet and who you are)
