She felt her wings expanding and getting stronger, her body enlarging outwards in all directions. From its point of view, the queen bee's
world seemed to be getting smaller by the second. When the growth stopped, she was at least 1 foot tall (for an insect, that's a big
growth) and 10 lbs on her own (and that's HEAVY for an insect, except ants). Her wings weren't dry enough yet, and when she tried to
fly, she fell into the water, and so she THOUGHT she drowned, and so did the drones that finally caught up to her. In their buggy minds,
they were probably thinking, "Where's the queen? Her scent seems to be coming from the river," and the drones would've looked
astonished if humans could read their emotions, as a giant queen bee, about the size of a human (and still growing) shot out of the river.
Her wings kept expanding at an alarming rate, and her body just kept getting bigger. She was probably taller than 6 feet when it stopped,
and 130 lbs. She also seemed to get smarter, unable to comprehend how small her drones were, and how much smaller her world had
become. She decided to wait until her wings were dry enough to fly again, so as to not fall into that river again... Her drones wanted to
share her great size, and dove into the water. What happened next?
