"W-well, what is it?" you stammer. Seedy gives you a long look. Or maybe he just didn't hear you. It's hard to
tell.
"Magic juice." He says. You consider asking him to explain what that's supposed to mean, but come to
the conclusion that this old man is threatening enough without you asking too many questions.
You take the vial from Seedy, slowly, so as not to spook the old man. He doesn't move, but you're sure he's
waiting for you to drink the "magic juice". The "juice" doesn't look very clean, or appetizing, or safe, but
you're worried about what Seedy might do if you refuse his "offer".
You yank the cork out of the vial and down the "juice" as quickly as you can, hoping it's not poison.
Surprisingly, the liquid doesn't taste like anything. In fact, you can barely feel it in your mouth; it's
almost like you can feel where it isn't.
You shake your head to clear the nonsense thoughts out of your head. "There. Um... thanks for the drink."
Seedy takes the empty vial back. He still stands there, saying and doing nothing.
"Can... can I go now?" you ask, fully ready to go home.
"Yeah, yeah, get on home." Speedy says, waving a hand at you. You immediately step past him and quickly walk,
almost run, away from the old man.
"Jes' don't be surprised if you find ya'self comin' back." You barely hear him say.
