"I'll go on to the lake. It's what I came here for, after all." You say, finally coming to a conclusion.
Naeima smiled, but you couldn't help but notice the slight unease in her eyes.
"Alright." She said cheerily. She waved her hands and the portal on the left flickered and died away. The one
you had chosen grew stronger. "But I warn you: this can change your life." Her voice grew stern and she raised
a long finger at your face. You nod.
"Yeah. I know. Thanks though." You smile and take her hands once more, the spark and flash returning for a
split second. You look down, then at the girl's brown eyes. The purple glints as she returns your gaze
blankly, and you step from her, towards the swirls of colour.
You take one last look at her: silent thanks before turning back to the portal. You dare not stare too deeply
into the colours for fear of losing your mind. You close your eyes and step through. You feel…
…Like you're falling! You seem to be floating down, but you keep your eyes shut, even as you feel the wind
ruffle through your… fur? You try to open your eyes, just a crack, but the wind pushes them shut. You feel a
shifting in sound as your ears seem to move and everything becomes clearer. Something balloons out behind you,
but doesn't slow your fall. In fact, it seems to speed up as you lose size, shrinking faster and faster until
all of a sudden, you stop falling.
You feel soft grass beneath you, and although you can't seem to move your fingers or arms as well as you used
to, you don't want to get up and find out what happened. You feel like you could just lie there forever.
However, a thought jumps up in your mind: this is so very wrong!
Your eyes snap open and you instantly see brown fur on your face, which has pushed out into a muzzle. The
colours of the world are different, and you see the grass below you is a reddish-green, which makes you shake
your head in confusion. You feel something prick up behind you; a large bushy red tail sprung from the base of
your back. You struggled to push yourself up with your strange new arms, which faced forwards rather than
hanging from your sides.
You take a look around and find that all the greens and reds looked similar to you. You shake your head and
think.
