Erick wasn't sure what to do. As a speedo, he was no match for the witch. He didn't think he could even knock over the cauldron. He just
continued slowly sneaking down the stairs and examining the room. The shelves were packed with many things: vials and boxes and books.
Maybe, Erick could use something from one of the shelves but what could he use and how could he get to the shelf.
As he pondered this, the step he plopped onto made a creaking sound. The witch noticed and began looking around. Erick quickly backed up into
the shadows to hide but fell. He landed on top of a broom handle. Fortunately, the broom was in the shadows so the witch didn't see it. The witch
went back to the cauldron.
Erick then tried to figure out how to get off the broom handle but he was snagged on a splinter. He didn't have hands to undo the snag so he
decided the only way off the broom was to rip the snag. So Erick pushed on the broom handle to free himself.
He might have pushed too hard. The next thing he knew the broom was falling along with an avalanche of other stuff and Erick was flying across
the room in pain from where he had ripped himself slightly. Before Erick could see where he was flying too, he hit something that quickly began
moving. It felt like Erick had landed on a mechanical bull. Then it was still for a moment and Erick had a chance to look around.
That's when he realized he had landed on the witch. In surprise, the witch had knocked over the cauldron spilling the contents all over the floor
and the witch had also knocked some other stuff off of a shelf onto the floor. The witch looked at the spilled cauldron with a mixture of anger and
fear.
