Millie was so stunned by the outburst she fell backwards off the chair. Still clutching the remote her hand pressed a button and unfortunately, the naked figure of Jess was the target. Jess froze in mid-air. Her body didn’t just lock up or her muscles stop, she literally defied gravity by freezing with all but one leg in contact with the ground mid sprint. Both Millie and Zoe were stunned and simply sat there staring. They couldn’t believe what had just happened.
Millie glanced down at the remote and took in the buttons she could see. The screen simply read “paused” and her finger lay over the pause button. She quickly picked up the remote and glanced over some of the other buttons. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. None of what she saw seemed possible. It had to be a trick, but at the same time she couldn’t deny what had just happened.
Zoe too was dumbfounded. What was going on? Jess was odd sometimes but she’d never done anything like this, and here she was frozen naked mid-air before the two of them. She propped herself up on the wall and began to move but Millie spun the remote and pointed it at her.
“Don’t move!” She screamed and Zoe froze too, but this time of her own free will. She didn’t know what that remote did but she didn’t want to end up like Jess.
Jess was also stunned. She was utterly helpless and she could only pray that Millie didn’t figure out how to use the remote. No such luck was afforded her however as an evil Smile appeared across Millie’s face.
“Well I’m not entirely sure how this thing works.” She began before turning to point the remote at the frozen figure of Jess. “But it looks like there’s a few things already programmed in here. Let’s see how you like being a…”
