"What?" asked Zoe.
"No, I'm not going to use this thing to hurt anyone anymore. I like being Jess, I like having you as a lover, I don't want to hurt anyone anymore. I don't want to end up a lonely, mean person like Millie. The cycle ends now. And I want to find a way to make it up to Angie as well. I didn't have the right to wreck her life."
"But what she did!"
"Was it any worse than what I did to Angie? Well, I guess it was, a little. But I don't want to turn this into a revenge thing."
"OK, Millie." Jess announced. "I'm going to unfreeze you. You tell me what I can do with this thing to make you a happy person who's not mean all the time, and, if I approve, I will do it for you."
