As the East bound train slowed to a stop Mrs. Ranskin felt quite nervous about what might come next.
The Police Chief turned to Mrs. Ranskin, "Are you ready to tell where I can find Marcia Caldwell and my young officer Kazan?"
Not a word came from Mrs. Ranskin, as if she told the story he'd believe it. The Chief stood and stared at the woman, then making a motion he helped her into the rear seat of his cruiser.
As the Chief sat into the front seat he picked up the handset of his car radio. "CAR 7, to base, this is the Chief! I want two squad cars to meet me at the Ranskin place! I want the county medical examiner to meet me there too, and right the Hell now!"
A shaken dispatcher repeated the orders and went direstly to give out the orders.
Starting the cruiser the chief looked into the rearview mirror at Mrs. Ranskin. "You know I'll find out sooner or later what's been going on out at the farm! You might consider the years of prison coming your way, if not for murder then at least for car theft and destruction of public property. Oh and let alone the Federal charges for trying to wreck a train, I'd say about sixty years to life right now!"
Mrs. Ranskin just sat looking out a side window and said nothing.
As the wrecker came up along side the Chief's cruiser he ordered them to take Kazan's cruiser to the city impound lot. Then truning a U turn he began to drive back to the scene of the crime.
