"My answer is still no...but..." Wendy paused. Her heart was beating hard, pounding in her
chest. Wendy did her best to annoy the ache between her legs, and that nagging desire to say yes. "But..I..I'm
going to keep this between us. No need for Ramer to read anything into this meeting, you know?" She grabbed
her handbag with a slight tremble in her hands. "I..I'm flattered you want me to join your pack but..I have a
job to do..you probably shouldn't fire me..he'll get suspicious.."
Wendy headed out the door without saying goodbye. She had to get back to work. Moments after she
left, Lisa regained her former human shape once more and picked up the phone. "She said no, but I don't think
she means it. She's ours, she just doesn't know it yet. Make a move tonight."

Wendy struggled to keep her concentration at work for the rest of the day. Her thoughts
alternately strayed between the increasing fiery need between her thighs, the pack, and Ramer. She knew she
should call Ramer and tell him she'd been compromised. She should get out right now. She'd been made. It
wasn't safe here, and she risked violating her oath she'd taken as an agent. But she couldn't bring herself to
do it. She was worried what Ramer might do if he found out. He'd take it as an act of war and eliminate the
whole pack. It would be overkill.
When her shift ended and she'd seen the last person out, Wendy headed to the locker room. She
had to get some of the nervous energy out of her system. She'd been raised to be self-sufficient. She'd
excelled in the agency because of her cool head, and now that seemed to have deserted her. The thing that
always centered her was vigorous exercise, and so she slipped into her bikini and dove into the pool, enjoying
one of the perks to working there-the round the clock access and use of the facilities. She swam lap after
lap, trying to work the thoughts from her mind with swimming, but after 45 minutes, it was no good. With a
sigh, she hopped into the hot tub, letting the jets and bubbles of warm water ease her tired muscles.
