Like a little kid with his gifts at Christmas, Sean tried out varioous settings, moving from one to the next with alacrity.
For a half-hour, he was 7 feet tall.
For the next, 3 feet tall.
He changed his hair color, his amount of body hair, his shoulders and waist, the length of his arms. for a short time, he adopted a 'werewolf' facial form, but that
was uncomfortable, not to mention messy, what with the saliva and all.
In a weak moment, he even quadrupled the size and weight of his testicles (that had resulted in a lot of pain when he tried to walk).
By now he felt pretty confident about the program and the device, even though he hadn't fully read the manual or the Help files.
Currently, he was back to his regular self in all ways, though now without a shirt, it having torn apart during one of the more exotic transformations.
Sean heard a key in the lock, and realized how much time had passed. That must be Dan, one of his roommates, returning!
Sean liked Dan, but had always been a bit intimidated by him. Dan was better looking, better built and had a naturally likeable personality that outshone everyone
else in the room. Sean himself was no slouch in any of those areas, but Dan's strong personality had always cowed his natural enthusiasm and outgoingness.
"That's something I haven't tried," thought Sean, scrolling down until both the 'Charisma' and 'Shyness' boxes were deisplayed and began typing - fast - wanting to
complete the change before Dan came in and saw what was happening. Glancing over his shoulder, he tapped the Enter key.
In his haste, though, he transposed the numbers - and put the zero in the 'Charisma' box and 100% for 'Shyness.'
"Eep, I'm practically naked," Sean muttered, clutching his hands to his chest in modesty.
Dan entered at that moment.
"Hey, sean, still surfing? You were doing that when I left. You've got to get out once in a while, guy," Dan said. He grabbed the back of the computer desk chair
and swiveled Sean around.
"I -- I --" Sean was tongue-tied by the mere presence of Dan. He still tightly covered his chest, and was turning a deep shade of scarlet from face all down his
torso. he had to gulp to rid himself of the knot forming in his throat. A trickle of moisture dribbled down from each armpit.
Inwardly, he did realize something had changed, but was now too skittish to confront it. All he wanted to do was get somewhere else, and get a shirt on! After all,
what kind of weirdo would sit around half-unclothed - certainly not someone like Dan, he thought, still staring at his roommate and stammering incoherently. "But
I'm not Dan," flashed through his brain, "I'm just a nobody - I don't even deserve to share a place with someone cool like him!"
"I should change myself back." That thought stabilized Sean's racing pulse a bit. At least subconsciously, it made perfect sense. But he was too intimidated by the
program now! What is something went wrong? After all, who was he to try something so grandiose?
