On a warm summer's afternoon, it sucks to be stuck having to clean out the attic, stuck inside when you could
be out in the pool, or at the gym.
You pick up a box in the corner and carry it down the stairs, as you trip and the contents of the box spill
out over the floor. There wasn't much interesting inside, a few photos, some books, but something caught your
eye. It was a little box, small and square, it looked like a ring box.
Curious, you open the box and inside is a strange silver ring with two gems beside a large one in the center.
You pick up the ring and try to put it on. Amazingly, it fits, considerin you don't know your ring size.s you
look at the ring and its box, you notice a folded piece of paper on the inside. You unfold it and begin to
read:
"To whomever may find this ring, you have been granted a great gift.
This ring will allow you to transform yourself into anyone else, body, mind, and soul.
First, you must select who to transform into. Simply Brush the big gem in the center across their skin and it
will retain all their information. You may then press the center gem to cycle through those you have scanned.
When you have chosen someone you like, press the center gem again to confirm. Then You can turn the center gem
to the right to change your body into theirs. This goes from settings 1 to 10, one being you completely, 10
being them completely. You are not limited to scanning real people, either. If you see a character in say, a
comic or a game, you can scan them too.
Second is the blue gem to the left of the center gem. This gem controls how much you think, talk, and act like
who you want to transform into. It also goes from 1 to 10, just as the center gem, but it can only go as far
as the Center gem has. If the center Gem is set at say, 7, the blue gem can only go up to 7 as well.
Third is the Yellow gem to the right of the center gem. This gem controls the memories and awareness of the
person you desire to transform into. Also going 1 to 10, this gem can only go up to the same setting as the
blue gem.
Finally, there is a small, flat gem on the bottom. This gem, when pressed, will change color from black to
white. When White, it does nothing. When black, any of the settings you change on the other gems will become
reality to the rest of the world. You will basically have their life, whether the settings are maxed out or
not.
The ring itself has a few failsafe mechanisms. If you transform your memory completely and forget about the
ring, you will return to your normal form if you try to remove it, or after 24 hours have passed."
Skeptical, you decide to try the ring out next time you can, to see if it is real. Thus, you return to
cleaning.
Eventually you finish, and as you rest, you decide what to do.
