"I don't want to run away and I don't really want to lose years of my life," said Jamie. "I don't want to
switch back either. This body just feels too good. Don't you feel the same about yours?"
"You know I do," I said.
"So cross off those options," he said. "I can't really bear the thought of an abortion, no matter how."
"Neither can I," I agreed. "So we transplant it to Mom or to a stranger."
"We have to careful," he said. "If we transplant it to Mom, we would have to know that Mom and Dad
are...active."
"Ew," I said.
"Says the person fucking her twin," he casually remarked. "I think it's better to give it to a stranger."
"There is a problem with that, too," I said. "This random couple would have a baby created by us. How would
that work for them?"
"I know you don't want to use the ring to solve our problems," he said. "But we will have to now. So you're
going to have to wish for the fetus to match its new parents." I sighed. "Joelle, I think it's the
best...no, the only way."
I had to agree with him. It was the best of a bad series of choices. "I wish that the fetus inside me would
be transported into the womb of a couple struggling to conceive and that the fetus would have that couple's
genetic material and not that of our own," I said.
"Did it work?" he asked.
"I assume so," I said. "Everything else I've wished for happened. I'll have to do another test tomorrow."
"Time for another round," he said as he positioned his body on top of mine.
"Jamie!" I exclaimed.
