The doorbell rang from downstairs, the sound echoing through the house. Will guessed it was Sam, coming to follow through on the whole babysitting thing. Sure enough a shout from her Mother confirmed it and announced her departure, leaving Sam and Will the only occupants of the house.
Footsteps could be heard as Sam bounded upstairs to Will’s room, opening the door to greet her friend. She instantly froze as she saw Will standing with her back to her, completely naked and staring into the floor length mirror.
“Eep” Sam squealed instantly turning to face away.
“What are you so scared of,” Will murmured as she continued to look at her reflection. “You never seen an 8 year old girl naked? Scared you might get into trouble?”
Sam kept her back to Will, trying to work out what was going on. “Will please put some clothes on, I don’t want to see you naked.”
“But Sam, we’re both girls here.” Something about her tone was unnerving to Sam, but Will had always been the strong one, so she dismissed it.
“Will, please, just put on something and talk to me, I need to tell you about last night.”
“And give me all the juicy details? Did you score with Joe? What was it like having his dick thrusting in and out of you? I bet it was amazing. I wouldn’t know however, ‘cause being only 8 years old, I shouldn’t even know what sex is.” Her voice broke as it rose to a shout, and she grabbed Sam’s arm and spun her to face her, looking dead into her eyes. “We’ve both got pussy’s Sam, we’re both girls, but I’m embarrassed to even look at myself in the mirror. It’s not sexy, it’s not attractive, and it’s prevented, sick, and wrong. I’ve spent the last hour looking at and taking in an image that would have got me arrested a few days ago. What am I supposed to do? Sit down and take it calmly?”
Both Will and Sam at this point began to get teary eyed, as Will’s outburst quieted. Her breathing was heavy, and she near collapsed into Sam’s arms. “I don’t know what to do Sam. I’ve been to school, got invited to a slumber party. I’m a little girl. What the FUCK happened to me?”
Sam held her sobbing into her shoulder, leaving the adrenaline to fade for a moment, before giving her answer. “Those girls happened Will, and we can either live with it, or let them defeat us.”
Something had happened to Sam. He wasn’t the voice of calm, or reason. He was the sloppy slow member of the group. He’d never given an opinion that wasn’t stupid, or laughable, and yet for the first time ever, he, now she, had said something that had truly comforted Will.
“Come on.” She said, lifting Will to her feet. “Let’s get you dressed, we’re going out.” Will was confused.
“Out?” She asked simply.
“Yep. We’re heading to the skate park, the other guys are all meeting us there.” She smiled sympathetically. “It’s about time we all discussed what’s happened, and catch up.”
