"Well, Mr. Bates? What are you waiting for?" asked the voice.
Bates stood there motionless, he wanted to turn around to see who was speaking, but couldn't. The voice was
familiar - wait it was his own voice. He felt his jaw move when the voice spoke.
"Ah, so you figured it out, puppet boy! You may have turned me into your underwear, and erased my past
existence, but I'm indestructible enchanted underwear now, and I am nearly a full wizard underclassman! You
didn't take away my magical abilities or knowledge. So instead of you wearing me for eternity, your underwear
is wearing your body, Bates! Ironic, don't you think? Oh, gawd you are hopeless. Stop trying to think of how
to defeat me because you cannot. First, I have to do something about this wimpy body of yours. We'll start
with a regimen at the gym. And then your diet-" Higgenbottom said speaking out of Bates' lips. He paused.
The silence was deafening. Bates just stood there in the middle of the quad, not moving or speaking. The wind
blew his gown as if he was a mannequin or scarecrow.
"I need a body, but it doesn't have to be yours," the red underwear said softly.
Then he started walking. Bates was fully aware, but he was now just a passenger in his own body. He was
surprised when he found himself walking down the basement steps and into the laundry room.
