Ethan watched the shoppers in the mall. Age regression and progression were pretty obvious. It was pretty weird to think like that - but now that he was ten, age changes were not that big a deal. One older teen caught his eye. The boy was probably a Senior in high school, tall and muscular, obviously into sports. He was fairly average looking, with some faint dark stubble on his chin and upper lip that could probably grow out to a scraggly but convincing goatee and mustache. Perfect. The boy noticed Ethan's stare and looked back curiously, maybe wondering if Ethan was some freind's little brother. Ethen grinned back and whispered 'Clock stop.'
There was no mist this time. Instead, the teen seemed to ripple as if he was being seen through water. Other people blinked and rubbed thier eyes, but most didn't really see anything happen. The teen stumbled and frowned, looking around for something. Then he shrugged and continued towards Ethan.
"Do I know you from somewhere?" The teen was a lttle less than average looking up close - he had acne that he'd never grow out of now, if the spell went right. Not that Ehtan could tell any time soon.
"Uh, no." Ethan grinned. "I was just playing a game. I just froze your age so you'll stay like you are forever."
"Fuck that." The teen rolled his eyes. "Stuck at home and school? That would suck."
"Nah. Just your body. You'll just stay 17 or 18 forever. You can graduate school and stuff, and get a job."
"Just turned 17." He chuckled. "Well, that's not so bad. Well, have fun with your games, kid. See ya' around." He headed away.
Ethan watched the now permanently 17 year-old boy vanish into the mall crowd. He realized he felt tired. That change must have taken a lot more energy than changing someones age.
