Nate was a fifteen year old boy, chubby and wore glasses. He felt perpetually awkward and was bullied often. He was alone in his bedroom, studying for a test for American History. He put down the pen and leaned back in his desk chair, peering out the window, seeing the bright full moon, high up in the sky.
He had long been a werewolf enthusiast, even so far as wishing he could be one himself. He was home alone that night, his parents were away for the weekend. He looked up at the night sky and with his heart pleading, he said, "I wish, I wish I could be a werewolf. A big hairy beast, just like you see in the movies!"
Once he said it, he felt ridiculous. There was no such thing. He turned back to his homework when he saw it. He arms had little brown hairs growing on them and they seemed to be getting longer in front of his eyes. Nate's heart began to beat faster from both excitement and fear. He felt a throbbing pain from his finger tips and watched in shock as they slowly grew out into claws. He felt his face and neck and could feel the fur growing in there too.
"Oh my god...Oh my god..." exclaimed Nate. He jumped up out of his chair and ran to the mirror on his wall to get a better look. He ran his clawed fingers through the long strands of fur that were growing in around his face and down his neck. In fact, he could feel it growing in all over his body. He opened his mouth and saw his teeth were growing out into sharp fangs.
He could feel his muscles growing and expanding. His chest started to barrel out as he body grew and reformed. It was painful, but he was enjoying it, making big heaving breaths through the ordeal. Sounds of tearing fabric, bones reforming and his own groans filled the room. All he wanted was for it to continue. He watched as his ears grew to points and his face pushed out to a lupine snout. His monstrous urges overtook him, with only the desire to hunt, to kill, and to devour. He opened his bedroom window and jumped on to the dew laden grass below, which felt cold on his furry bare feet. He let out a loud howl and ran off into the night.
