"how quaint" you smirk, examining the room. it was just as you expected. you had been told by some friends of the hotel, and had to be in the area for a few days so you decided to check the place out. you even did their silly little room quiz online and got the cat room. you were a little bummed out by that, as you were hoping for one of the more exotic rooms, but hey you got a discount if you chose that room and you've got to be tight on money nowadays.
"Besides," you tell yourself, "its just the room." It was just a room, you could check out all the unusual stuff the hotel had to offer. hell according to the check in lady some of the services are for free depending on the room so thats pretty neat at least.
setting you luggage down and glancing around the room you noticed the hotel guide directly underneath a novelty cat clock where the cats tail was the pendulum. the clock was abnormally loud too. every sway of the tail gave a loud ticking noise and it was getting a little aggravating after a few minutes. you grabbed the guide and tried to read it, but the ticking of the cat clock continually destroyed you concentration.
"That's It" you proclaim, the clock destroying your nerves, "I'm just gonna read this outside." you get up and try to leave but when you get to the door it won't open. it appeared to be jammed somehow.
"MEOW!" the clock rings one o'clock. it sounded as if it was mocking you. you kick to door in frustration and go over to the novelty cat phone. every ring it makes to the front desk is a meow noise and it was beginning to get on your nerves. when you finally got through to the front desk they said they'd send someone but it could be a while. you lied and said it'd be OK and that you could wait.
after ending the call, you looked around wondering what to do while you wait, the every present ticking beginning to fade into your subconscious. there it tells you some interesting things. you body begins to feel heavy and you become drowsy. right before you fall asleep you decide to...
