"Well," John said "this is it."
It was a nice house - a bit exaggerated, but considering it was home to 2 toon rabbits, it was to be expected.
Carrie was still recovering from the scene transition, when John hopped up and rang the doorbell.
"Maybe they're not home." Carrie said, feeling her ears starting to change "Why don't we come back later."
Before either of them could say another word, the door opened.
Standing there was a brown toon rabbit who looked just like John, but he wore a blue tie around his neck.
"Hey Dad," John said to him "sorry for not calling you in advance, but Carrie's feeling a bit peckish. Is Mom cooking anything?"
"It's no trouble at all, son." his dad Jack said warmly "We read the plot in advance, so we were expecting you."
Carrie noticed that John looked exactly like his dad, and was just as short.
"How are you, Carrie?" Jack asked "Haven't seen you in a while. I see the toonification is taking effect."
"Uhhh...." was all she could mange to say. She had so many questions she wanted to ask him, like how come he wasn't an old geezer, or why
did he and John look the same age, and what he meant by reading the plot in advance.
"Well," Jack chuckled "don't just stand there with your ears getting longer - hop on in. The story won't go anywhere if you don't."
Too confused to answer, she followed them inside - hopping all the way.
They were greeted by a big, fat female toon rabbit, whom Carrie guessed, must be John's mother, Jill. She had long red hair, and yellow fur, and
deep blue irises. She looked just as youthful as her husband. All she wore was a pink skirt, and a pearl necklace, but her fur was thick enough
to hide everything (she was rated G, just like her husband and son), and she was 7 feet tall (8 with the ears).
"Johnny!" she squealed happily "How nice of you and your wife to visit. Sit down for a bit while I put the final touches on dinner. Take off your
shoes and socks if you like."
"Ok." Carrie said, as she sat on the couch and took them off. As soon as she did, her feet grew into big, pink, toon rabbit feet - just as big as
Jill's
"You're coming along nicely, Carrie." Jill said, smiling "Reminds me of when I got tooned - such happy memories."
"Am I gonna get as fa- as big as you?" Carrie asked nervously.
"Maybe, or maybe not - we don't write the story, dear." she replied "Don't worry. I was a bit nervous when it happened to me, put I'm fine with
how things turned out now. I don't mind being fat - it's something I've come to like about myself. When your mind gets toony to go with your
body, you'll understand. You'll find it's the best thing that ever happened to you." And she hopped back into the kitchen.
With another scene transition, they were all sitting at the table.
By now, Carrie's ears were fully formed into pink toon rabbit ears, and a big, white, fluffy toon rabbit tail had popped out the back of her pants.
Carrie noticed that while John and Jack had small plates, she and Jill had big plates.
"Don't worry, dear." Jill assured Carrie "I made enough for all of us, so dig in!"
As Carrie ate the carrot casserole, her front teeth grew to match her husband's and his parents', but she was too hungry to care!
"It won't be long before your transformation is complete." Jill said, beaming "At this rate, it should only take another chapter - I think this one's
almost done."
Carrie looked at Jill confused. "Don't worry, dear." Jill told her "Once you're a full toon like us, it will all make sense."
