Furious anger surged through your body but you knew what might happen if you were to break this amulet. And you were in enough trouble already. You quickly relinquished the amulet to the Farmer who took it quickly.
"A wise decision. I will not punish you. I can understand your frustration. And all I can really say is sorry. Now leave this place. Return only when you have retrieved the magic water. Be warned, if you return without it. You will suffer my wrath, boy," the Farmer said and pointed a finger toward his door.
You left quickly and toward the barn. There you gathered the bag of charms and the book of spells. You wondered outside, tucking the spell book in the bag. You looked toward a herd of goats and wondered which one was Billy. You saw Jack and Sarah in the fields grazing together and a twinge of jealously rippled your heart. "I won't fail you guys."
Off on your own, you set off on your journey to retrieve the magic water of Medora.
__________
Traveling the unfamiliar lands of Lamnor was difficult on your own without a guide. You stayed away from villages for several reasons. It was getting late and you decided to make camp. You opened the spell book to a page full of simple spells. You wondered if you could cast fire on the pile of sticks you collected for firewood. "Piroam" you said and fire shot from your eyes and at the pile of sticks. It was a giant column of fire that reached the sky itself and then settled back down to normal campfire size. You just sat there dumbfounded with the open spell-book.
Then, your stomach growled.
"I need to find something to eat. But what?" You looked in the distance and saw a farm. You could reach it but then you remembered that Jack packed food in the bag of charms. You opened it quickly and it's contents made your nose wrinkle.
"Which are charms and food?" You asked yourself. You wished you knew. You wished Sarah was with you.
