The next day, Rhianna went to her gym locker to retrieve the magic pocket watch ... but when she checked the inside of the locker, the watch wasn't there!
"Lookin' fer this?" a voice suddenly asked from behind her. Rhianna spun around and saw Darlene (formerly Janine) and she was holding the pocket watch up by the chain.
"How ... how did you get that?" Rhianna asked, stunned. "You're not even supposed to remember it. I erased your memory." That wasn't true, of course. Rhianna only erased Darlene's memory of her transformation into a trailer trash slut. But Darlene still remembered when the cheerleader changed her hair color and length. It was a faded memory, like something from a dream, but she still did remember it, despite the fact that she was no longer Janine.
"Apparently you ain't as smart as you think you is," Darlene said. Then she began to swing it back and forth, as she approached Rhianna. The cheerleader tried to make a run for it, but the watch had already enchanted her. She could do nothing but stare at it. She was under its control now and whatever Darlene told her to say, she'd say it ... and it would become her new reality.
