The gray alien hopped on the centaur stallion's back, and Kath trotted in the direction of the Native village. "Won't they be a little shocked at seeing you and me?" he asked James.
"There is an 80% possibility that they will accept us as potentially benevolent paranormal creatures." replied the alien. Kath shivered a bit. He didn't mind so much being a centaur stallion knowing it was temporary-in fact he enjoyed the effortless power of his latest body--but the emotionless, alien James was freaking him out a little bit. He was looking forward to James's next transformation into something a little less, well, alien.
"That's a 20% chance that they don't." replied the centaur. "What if they're hostile?"
"With our armaments and your speed, I estimate a 95% chance of getting away without serious harm" replied the alien. The two traveled the rest of the way in silence.

Gabe was also uncomfortably aware that she had gone the longest of the four without a transformation, and was possibly overdue for one. On the other hand, what if Curtis transformed into something less powerful?
Gabe's enhanced perceptions warned her that they were not alone. A grinning man with a gun stood up from behind a rock, and said "What have we here, two pretty ladies with no protection?" Several other bandits then appeared. "Mebbe we could have a little party?" the grinning man continued.
