The music playing changed into a deeply romantic tune.
“Run along, Lilly and go play with the other pixies.” Sarah said as she patted Lilly on the back.
“Okay, mother.” Lily said as she flew off.
When Lilly greeted the other pixies, Sara turned to Ophelia. “Shall we dance, my love?” Sarah said offering her hand.
“I would love to.” Ophelia replied, taking her wife’s hand.
The two fairies walked away from the table, clasped their other hands together and, fluttering their wings, rose up into the air where a number of other couples were slow dancing together.
As you finished your third blueberry, Kaylee said; “The Fluttering Hearts Dance; it’s the final dance of the festival, and it celebrates love.”
You take Kaylee’s hand. “Then by all means, let’s celebrate.” Kaylee gave a shy smile while blushing.
Escorting your girlfriend to the center of the platform, you feel something brushing your wing. Looking behind your shoulder, you see one of Kaylee’s wings stroking one of yours. It was a nice sensation. Kaylee turns your face to hers and explains; “It’s a sign of affection, caressing each other’s wings.” At that information, you stroke her wings back.
Finally, you turn to face each other, clasp your hands together as if you were performing a tango, and flutter up into the air. Holding each other close together, the feel of your wings beating behind your back, you start to feel more comfortable in this new body. However, one issue weighs on your mind. “To be honest, I’m a little nervous about… showing me how fairies…y’know.”
“Why’s that?” Kaylee asks.
“Well, what if I DO get pregnant?”
“Oh, you’re just being silly.” She said with a chuckle.
“Oh, you did not just say that!” You playfully scold, remembering using that same line when you tried to convince Kaylee to have sex with you back when you were still humans in high school.
“Well, this time I AM ready; and besides, you only just transformed tonight, so you should be at the back end of your cycle. Which means it’ll be another four months before you become able to be impregnated.”
With your mind put at ease, you only concentrate now on dancing with your girlfriend; taking in her floral aroma you only just now noticed. “Your perfume is lovely.”
“We don’t wear perfume.”
“Oh, well you smell lovely, then.”
“Thanks, so do you.”
As the music reached a crescendo, you gaze into Kaylee’s eyes. You close yours, and you lean in, giving her a loving kiss on the lips. That feeling of Kaylee’s love from before returned, stronger this time, and you knew she could feel yours.
As the princess thanked everyone who attended on behalf of her mother, you lean over to Kaylee and whisper, “I just realized, I haven’t gotten a good look at myself yet.”
“I do have a mirror at my place.” Kaylee replied.
As the rest of the fairies departed, you followed your girlfriend down into the tree toward her place.
