A young girl no older than 7.
Katie was heading back home from school, but she couldn't help but notice something shiny on the ground. Her little 1st grade curiosity got the better of her as she picked up this strange object and studied it close to her eyes.
"It's a ring!" She gasp. Katie knew what a ring was, for she often saw her mother wearing one as well. Wanting to seem more mature like most girls her age, she quickly slip the ring down one of her tiny fingers. Katie watch with awe as the ring readjusted itself, fitting perfectly.
"Cool!" She said, holding her hand out and looking at the ring. Of course Katie had no idea the true power of the ring just yet.
But that's when someone unpleasant crossed her path. It was the mean boy Timmy. He lived in the same neighborhood as Katie, but often bullied her just because he was 2 years older than her.
"Hey pipsqueak! What'cha got there on your hand?" Mean boy Timmy sneered.
"It's mine! I found it first!" Katie shouted back, covering her hand away from him.
"Who said I wanted that piece of junk anyways, Shorty." Timmy replied back, giving Katie a small push.
Katie hated this, if only he wasn't so big she wouldn't get picked on by him, "I wished you were younger than me" Katie mumbled to herself.
"Did you say something?" Timmy laugh, but little did he know, this was nothing to laugh about.
Timmy then began to feel a little strange, he didn't know why... but his clothes were a bit looser now. Katie turning her head back to her oppression couldn't believe her eyes, was he shrinking? Timmy began to realize something was wrong as he felt his body dwindle.
"W-what did you do to me?" Timmy now squeaked for he was no longer the 9-year-old, but rather he looked about 6.
Katie was shocked to see that now she was a little bigger than Timmy. Katie realizing her wish came true, wanted to test if it would work for her too.
"I wish I was a year older!" She quickly said.
Katie's body then proceeded to stretch out an inch or two, she didn't get much bigger, but she was definitely getting older. Timmy couldn't believe his eyes as the girl he used to bully now stood even taller than himself.
Katie felt as her body grew, but that wasn't all, she even felt as if her mind expanded as well. It was hard for her to understand why, but she feels like every homework she had in first grade were super easy now. She was also beginning to make since of the situation now, it had to be this ring she thought. Katie then took a look down at her former tormentor with a wide grin.
"Who's the short one now?" Katie giggled.
Timmy though was too terrified now, and begs for forgiveness. Katie being the better person made him the correct age again, but reminded him that if he ever bothered her again, that she would quickly turn him into a baby this time. Timmy shook his head as he made a dash for home.
Katie though, now with this Ring of Age wonder what to do next...
