Two days after Perry came in, Morgana, Maedel and I were all sitting on my bed watching the mirrors. At this point, Morgana was happy again, and I was happy that she wasn't quite as crazy as she had been before Todd and Perry came along. Maedel, as usual, was less than excited to be hanging out with Morgana.
"I'm gonna go get some popcorn, be back in a second." Morgana said as she poofed out. At that moment, someone by the front door started making a lot of noise.
"The direct approach, haven't seen that in a while." I said.
"Yeah. Nowadays, most princes try to break in like a common robber. This guy must have a pretty impressive team to pull a stunt like this." Maedel said. Before I could reply, I was back in the cage in the spell room. This time though, I wasn't alone. In the cage with me was a girl about my age. She had on a simple dress and a leather chest piece over the bodice. The chest piece was so tight I thought it was a corset at first. In addition, it showed off so much of her cleavage that it only barely covered her nipples.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Princess Connie, your rescuer." She said with a cocky smile.
"Well you're doing a bang-up job aren't you?" I said.
"I should have gotten that popcorn." Morgana said.
"You! You evil witch, how dare you keep me in this filth?" Connie asked.
"Filth? Hey, I keep a very tidy spell room thank you very much." Morgana said.
"Tidy? You call this tidy? There's dust everywhere! If I had a castle like this, I would have my servants wash it down daily!" Connie retorted.
"Well we can't all have servants can we? Looks like you had to trade a plan for them too. Or do you want to tell me that knocking on my front door and yelling was a good strategy?" Morgana said.
"Oh, it was. You see, my daddy thinks you kidnapped me, thanks to a little note I left. Now, his whole military will come and rescue both of us. What do you have to say about that?" Connie said.
"Wait, you mean to tell me that you brought an army to my doorstep?" Morgana asked.
"Yep, and they're gonna save us in time for afternoon tea." Connie boasted. I was teleported out of the cage.
"Go get Maedel, we have to leave." Morgana instructed.
"Why? I mean, it makes sense that you want to leave, but why would I want to go away from the huge group of people that want to save me?" I asked.
"Because after you proved to be so useful, I'm inclined to not let you go. If necessary, that will mean turning you into my ass so that we can rot in prison together." Morgana threatened.
"I'll go pack with Maedel." I said.
"Excellent choice. I have some cleaning up to do around here." Morgana replied.
I ran back to my room and started putting everything into a small chest that was in the closet.
"What's going on?" Maedel asked.
"The prince was a girl, there's an army following her, we have to leave or Morgana will turn us into her body parts." I said.
"Shit. OK, let me help." Maedel said.
When we were done putting everything into the chest, we ran back to Morgana. I actually felt pretty confident about what we packed. Due to the whole "prisoner" and "magically cleaning my clothes" thing, Morgana didn't have a lot of stuff in my room, as such, it was easy to pack. Morgana, on the other hand, had the whole spell room to pack. She succeeded somehow, and even got it all into one tiny suitcase. All except for one jar that held a shrunken Connie.
"Good, I was afraid you two would try to stay here. We need to get out to the stables. I can turn Maedel and her ranger friends into a carriage and some of my cows into horses so we can get away." Morgana said.
"What? You can't! I mean, you can, but... just please turn me back afterward." Maedel said as she sighed in defeat. She knew this was the only way we were making it out of here.
"OK, promise, now let's go." Morgana said as she ran outside. Once we got to the stables, Morgana turned around and cast a fireball on the maze and the castle. They both lit instantly, but Morgana was too busy making our escape carriage to notice. Even when we were a few miles away, I could see the glow of the fire.
"Morgana?" I asked, "What do we do now?"
