Everything had changed. If your senses weren’t as sharp as knives you would probably be infected. No street was safe, no home offered protection. Food that was once taken for granted was now scarce in this new world where enemies could be the ever growing wave of satyrs or the betrayal of fellow men.
In this new world lived Jack. Although he was only 15 years old he managed to adapt in this strange new world unharmed. Still he couldn’t quite believe what the world had become. He had only heard myths of the satyrs, creatures from Ancient Greece wild and free. But then myths became confusing stories as reports of the creatures’ sights were becoming more common each day. And then they weren’t stories anymore when Jack saw them with his own eyes. They appeared out of nowhere and those unfortunate enough to cross their way were changed to become new members of the satyr race, devoted to spreading the Pan virus in the name of the queen Maria.
Everything soon turned to chaos and Jack quickly found himself hiding from the creatures, without a friendly or familiar face nearby. Weeks later he still didn’t know what happened to his family and friends, though he swore he would find them in the sudden deserted mess that was once his home city. People were either changed or moved away in terror. Streets were graveyards of cars and trash that was merely left behind. To a naked eye the city may have looked abandoned but Jack knew that was a lie and at any second the satyrs could show up and fulfill their queen’s bidding. But Jack couldn’t just run away knowing that those who were most important to him could need his help. And thus begins the tale of Jack, who will travel the now dangerous city alone and rescue those who can be rescued, hoping to find and protect his family and friends from the growing menace of the satyr invasion.
