Sara selfishly began to wish herself back to normal, before being interrupted by Nick. Or was it Jessica? Charlie lazily glanced from Nick to Sara, to Robert. He wasn't sure. A shouting match had begun. Charlie was finding it hard to focus.
The noise became a din at the back of Charlie's mind. He absently ran his hands down his figure, feeling the material of his new blue Alice dress. He fingered the ribbon on his head, tugging it slightly. It didn't do anything to keep his now blond hair in place, as it was already short. Charlie explored the sleeves of his dress. They were light and comfortable. Loose. He felt the skin on his arms and noticed they were completely hairless. He rubbed his white stockinged legs together. Also hairless. Charlie slowly walked to the bathroom to adjust the pressure the tights were putting on him. No one noticed his departure; the argument was becoming more heated.
The bathroom door closed softly as Charlie pulled up his skirts and pulled down his tights to pee. Yeah, he though. I'm still a guy. Finishing up, the thought strangely never occurred to him to take off his new outfit. He simply re-adjusted it, admiring his slender white legs in the mirror on the door. He was, after all, very pretty now.
He was washing his hands, staring into the mirror when a soft voice called out to him. It sounded like the voice that had come out of the board game.
"Charlie... come over for a visit."
Startled, Charlie blinked several times... there was no mistaking it. His reflection had winked at him. Mirror Charlie's faced opened into a wide grin, but it didn't match Mirror Charlie's dead looking eyes.
Charlie backed away from the sink mirror, falling backward into the full length mirror on the door. He fell, and fell, through darkness, time and earth. His daze faded as he realized the danger he was in. Charlie screamed before landing softly on a cushion on the floor of a round checker-tiled room. It was as if he'd fallen no more than two feet. He looked up at a solid, checkered ceiling. Three doors were placed at various intervals in the wall, though none were particularly abnormal looking.
"Where the hell do I go now?"
He glanced at a candy on the cushion next to him. "Eat me" was written on it in frosting.
"Yeah, right. Like I'd fall for that."
Having nothing else to do, Charlie stood up and picked a door.
