As Jeff tried to acquaint himself with his wings, his brightly colored body hovered in front of his computer screen, casting a dim reflection in the glass.
"It really works!" Jeff thought excitedly. "I'm a fucking butterfly."
He tried to study his reflection for some clues to the 20 percent of him that was still human. He didn't seem to notice anything obvious.
He drifted, subject to random air currents, that caused his wings to flutter to keep him in position in front of the huge computer screen.
"Something's not right," he thought.
Then, he saw it. The DNA was set to 100 percent butterfly!
"That's not what I wanted!"
Well, now that he knew the machine worked, he could change back and try something else.
He saw the REVERT button on the screen, but then realized that he could not hope to work the keyboard or mouse, not in the body of a butterfly.
"Oh, fuck!"
