Ms. Davidson laughed slightly, "Good girl, I'll definitely have a use for you." Jen was confused by the statement, but stayed firmly rooted in the chair, transfixed by Ms. Davidson, and the almost palpable energy that she seemed to be putting off.
"He said to me,'become the devil that you are!'" Her blue eyes changed to solid black, with flames dancing in the center.
"I thought the devil was a man,"Jen replied, confused.
"The devil takes many forms. In fact, as a diety on earth, I can take any form I choose. He freed me, freed me from the prison of Hell! With one careless statement, he made me the most powerful being on earth!"
"You've got to be kidding,"Jen said under her breath.
"You want a more tangible proof?"
"It would help, to be honest. It's just hard to imagine you're the devil, you know?"
"I understand,Jennifer." Ms. Davidson's forehead began to bulge as horns pushed their way out of her forehead. Her smile became more menacing as her teeth turned into sharp, daggerlike fangs.
The back of her blouse tore open as a pair of black, leathery wings emerged from her back. Jen couldn't deny what she was seeing any longer. As unbelievable as it seemed, her guidance counselor was the devil.
"Now, Jennifer...before you go, I'd like to talk to you about a deal," the devil said, with a smooth smile.
