Aaron immediately put his plan into motion.
With a quick flick of his tail, he flung all the other dolls and stuffed animals off the desk, and made his
way for the computer. His statistics were still shown on the screen, conveniently, so he started to edit a few
of them.
The first one he checked; his gender. Alice hadn't bothered to change it, seeing as plush toys don't usually
have specific genders, which meant that he was still male. Good.
Now, he made some of his own parameters. First off, he removed the ability to speak the human tongue, which
meant that he would speak only in the Dewott language.
Next, he decided to make himself illiterate. Essentially, he would lose the ability to write; every word his
paws would scribble onto paper would inevitably turn out to actually be scribbles. As well as that, the
written language would be nothing more than a blur to him.
Then, he made it so that everyone would treat him as if he had always been a Dewott. All traces of Aaron would
be temporarily wiped from all that knew him, except Alice, which was another crucial component.
Before he entered the last parameter in, he stepped away from the keyboard, and removed both scalchops from
his sides. "Better get this out of the way now, then." He jumped down onto the floor and began to swish and
stab and slice and swing the two scalchops through the air (and through a chair leg by accident). After a few
minutes of childish swordplay he was satisfied with himself, and returned the weapons to his sides before
returning to the computer. The last thing he entered into the computer was that he would not be able to remove
the scalchops from his sides, preventing attack.
Before he clicked enter, he opened another window within the Chronivac and set up a simple body swap. The
subjects? Himself and Alice.
Aaron opened the first window again and hit enter, albeit with reluctance. At first, nothing seemed to happen,
until most of the computer screen turned into nothing but colourful boxes with black smidges here and there.
He grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and attempted to write his name, and to both his horror and relief, all
that he did was a small scribble in the middle of the page.
"This is really working!" He tried to say, but instead all that came out was an enthusiastic "Dewott, dewott!
Du!" He well and truly felt like a Pokemon now, being both illiterate and being able to speak nothing but the
language of his current species.
The only thing he had left to try were his scalchops. Try as he might, the two shells were stuck fast to the
sides of his legs, and they weren't coming off anytime soon.
Everything was proceeding according to plan.
