In the middle of the night, Morgana woke up Maedel (who decided to sleep in the room with me after all) and I. She hurried us into the kitchen and lit the chandelier, illuminating the whole house. Then she ran to the door and opened it up wide. Standing in the doorway was a young man with fair blond hair, a chain mail vest, a purple tunic, and light brown slacks. He was wearing several pieces of jewelry. This man was unmistakably a prince. There were just a few problems. His hair was mussed and dirty, his chain mail was missing a large chunk that would cover his left shoulder as well as the tunic there, revealing a large, bloody bite mark on him, his tunic was absolutely ruined and falling apart, he only had on one boot, and his slacks were missing a pant leg.
"Wow, you've been through hell." Morgana said after looking him over for a moment. The prince ignored her and walked into the kitchen where he sat down in a chair, placed his head on the table, and fell asleep.
"The hell is this?" Maedel asked.
"I don't know, but I'm going to heal that shoulder while he's out." Morgana said.
"Wait, you know healing magic?" I asked.
"Yeah, I just didn't need to use it on you guys before." Morgana said as she healed the prince.
"So, I don't suppose you're gonna let this guy pass through are you? I mean, he looks like he's been through enough already." Maedel said.
"We'll talk in the morning. I'm going back to bed." Morgana replied as she walked off.
"No sense in arguing." Maedel said as she went back to our room. I stayed with the prince though. I wasn't going to let either of my companions find out what was going on before I did.
