"Mister Sherman? Can we talk for a minute?" asked Eve when the bell rang, signaling all the other students to
up sticks and leave for their next classes.
"Sure, Eve. What's up? Do you need help with anything?" asked Tim casually, seated in his swivel chair.
"Well, this is going to sound really weird, but do you know a Paul Hodgson by any chance?"
Tim then looked at his pupil more curiously. "Yeah, he's one of my best friends. He's a research professor.
Why do you ask?"
"Well, you see, I..."
Eve then began to relate her life story, but Tim cut her off.
"Eve, don't you have a class to go to?"
"It's just English. We can skip a few classes and make up for it by taking an extra long exam at the end of
the semester. I have straight A's anyway. This is important enough for me to skip class."
"Ok, go on."
Eve continued to narrate her life, exposing all the strange things she's seen and felt, and how ever since her
childhood, she's had an imaginary friend who not only was named Tim Sherman, but he was a younger doppelganger
for Mister Sherman himself! She made sure to cite specific things that she couldn't have known if Tim her
imaginary friend hadn't related it to her. Tim's eyebrows raised in surprise at these examples of his teenage
days, and how detailed and accurate they were.
After about ten minutes, Eve finished her tale.
"So you see, I'm not just some crazy girl looking for attention like how some of the other students see me.
What does this have to do with your friend, Paul? Please, I swear that he's involved in all this somehow."
Eve's piercing green eyes stared at Mister Sherman, pleading for some kind of feedback that would help her
solve the mystery of her strange life.
