The Honeymoon Mystery

added by SandySeeker 10 years ago TG O

“Well, what do you think we need to do Eve?” asked Paul, idly scratching his heavy, rotund belly. “Or should I
call you Timmy now?”

“I never liked being called Timmy!” laughed Eve. “You may call me Tim, if you like. Technically, that is who I
am. I'm sure of it! But I'm also really Eve. I've lived her whole life, after all. I'm the one who has made
all the decisions in Eve's life. I'm the one responsible for her actions. I've steered her life, still have
her memories, and feel comfortable in her... my skin! I am she, it's just...well ... I'm also Tim.”

“Maybe I'd better stick to calling you Eve then,” said Paul. “It matches your body for one thing. We could
stir up some weird questions if folks were to overhear me calling you Timmy all the time.”

“Tim, please. Not Timmy,” corrected Eve gently. “But your point is well taken, Paul. Please do call me Eve. It
corresponds best with my body... and it really is who I am. Whatever else has happened to me in a past life,
I'm still the woman who loves you and chose to become your wife yesterday. I had all my past memories before I
said 'I do.' And I still chose to say the words and become your wife, Paul.”

The couple nervously smiled at one another, then silently shared a short, tender kiss. It wasn't the kiss of a
passionate pair of newlyweds, but was rather the sweet, nervous, brief kiss of two people sharing intimacy for
the first time – the first kiss of a pair of fearful teenage lovers.

“That was nice,” Eve said softly. “I really love you Paul. Thank you for being so accepting about this odd
situation.”

“Everything about my life has always been odd,” laughed Paul. “Why should my romantic life be any different?”

“Do you want to continue our honeymoon, or should we go visit your uncle?” Eve asked.

“Yes, I'm afraid we're going to have to,” said Paul. “I've become quite a talented sorcerer since that fateful
day long ago when I accidentally changed you into Evelyn Campbell. But this is beyond me, I'm afraid. I just
hope Uncle Edmund is able to help us.”

“And you're sure we shouldn't tell the real Evelyn about this yet?” asked Eve.

“You mean Timmy?” shrugged Paul. “No. If he... I mean, if she still firmly believes she's Tim, let her be
blissfully ignorant of everything for now. Maybe it's best in the long run to let sleeping dogs lie. I don't
know. Hopefully Uncle Edmund has some advice on what to do. And more importantly, on how to go about doing it.
I promise I'll make up the lost honeymoon to you someday, Eve.”

“It's all right, Paul,” said Eve tenderly. “Somehow, I should have known our honeymoon would turn into a
paranormal adventure.”
