"...Kathellyn Ghulady." *
"You mean the Queen of Morheim, Uncle Edmund?"
"Yes, that's exactly who I mean. She might be able to do something for the three of you if you can persuade
her it's not in her disinterest."
Paul's face suddenly went red in frustration. He flicked out the lint out of his belly button with his one
free hand and then wiped the sweat off of his brow.
"Wow. How do me and Eve and Timmy even get there?"
"The same way everyone else does, Paulie. Through defeating one of her Royal Oafs. There's at least one in
every city if you know where to look. Find the Royal Oaf, defeat him in combat, and then demand he draw you up
a gateway."
"A gateway?"
"Damn it, nephew. A gateway. A chalk drawing of a doorway, made on any vertical wall. You know---, remember
Beetlejuice? That one scene where they make a doorway between the lands of the living and the dead? Like that.
Anyone can make a gateway to someplace extranormal with enough talent, but only Queen Kathellyn and her army
can go to and from Morheim. So you need to defeat one of the Oaf's in order for them to show you the way.
They'd be more than happy to fight you. They love that stuff."
Paul looked towards his wife.
"Would Eve have to fight a Royal Oaf too?"
"What? No, she's your guest to Morheim, they can't be harmed. She's a-, what's that term they use in Harry
Potter?"
"A muggle?"
"Yeah, whatever. Stupid term, but yeah. Eve's a muggle, presuming that she doesn't have the same impressive
pedigree you have" laughed Edmund.
"But I thought anyone could do magic?" asked Paul.
"They can" said Edmund, quite sharply. "Some are just blessed with a greater talent at it than others. I
remember when I met your buddy Timmy. He had great potential, and still does I'm wagering. But the older you
get, the less inclined you are to be good at it. If it's been this long, maybe he's lost it. I don't know. I
wouldn't put her into something too strenuous right this second. She needs practice. As for this Evelyn
Campbell, the less she knows, the better."
Hmm thought Paul. "Thanks Uncle. Do you know where the Royal Oaf in this town is?"

What does Uncle Edmund say?
* Kathellyn Ghulady was once of the most powerful sorceress on Earth, specializing in dark magic, and had
recently(oh, about ten or so years ago) ascended into a pocket dimension adjacent to our own where she ruled
an oddly benevolent kingdom that just happens to be based on certain things we humans would consider to be
evil. Blood magic rituals, for instance, are very powerful conduits for magic and something that Queen
Kathellyn sanctions all the time, but they rely on animal and human sacrifices to demons and eldritch forces
that exist outside of space and time. The power gained from these rituals are then used to protect her
kingdom(or queendom) and to provide nigh infinite food and resources to her subjects. And she built it all,
the entire dimension, their form of nature and sustenance, all from the ground up based on these evil yet
helpful magicks.
