"I love you Stephanie Helms, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." Johnny said while gazing
lovingly into Steve's eyes. "Wow," Steve said regaining his ability to speak, "That's so. Sweet."
Steve started to back away from Johnny trying not to let the world crash around him, "I'm sorry but, I've
really got to call up Janet, she really needs to know what's going on, I'm sure she's worried about me."
"Of coarse," Johnny said, "I'll be in the bathroom getting ready." He left the room and Steve sprinted to the
telephone in the room to dial Janet's cell phone, after what felt like forever Janet answered. "Hello?"
"Hi Janet, it's me." The silence on the other end of the phone was deafening.
"Where the fuck have you been." Steve winced at the rare curse to escape from his wife's lips. She wasn't even
yelling at him like he'd expected making him feel even worse.
"You see honey, I screwed up. Bad." And so Steve told Janet the whole sorted story. Everything from her
leaving to get drinks to waking up to find himself now married to his favorite baseball player. "And now I'm
here, naked in a room with a man I hardly know begging for you to help me."
"Jesus Christ Steve. You've really screwed up this time." Janet said harshly over the phone, "I mean after I
left I made a wish for you to have a good time with your hero but never in my wildest imagination would I have
thought you'd have taken it this far."
"Wait, you made a wish on me? So this is all your fault!" Steve said starting to feel himself getting angry.
"A good time consists of a nice conversation and a good memory. You MARRIED AND SLEPT WITH HIM! Don't you dare
put this on me!"
"Well I never would have done that if it weren't for your stupid wish you bitch!"
The two stayed silent after that. For a full minute both stayed on the line not speaking but trying to figure
out what to do next. Steve was the first to break the silence
"Baby I'm sorry,"
"No you're not you meant every word of it."
"Please let's not fight now. Just please help me out of this and then we can talk this out as long as we need
to. We'll even go to a couples therapist. We can work this out."
