Ryan and Jeremy were your average high school brothers. Ryan had just turned 17 and was one of the schools best wrestlers; Jeremy was almost 16 and the top swimmer.
The two were best friends and almost never fought; but by the end of the night they were going to be closer than they ever thought possible.

"Should we call Dad to give us a ride? It looks like its going to storm soon," Jeremy asked his older brother.
"I think we can make it before it hits, but we shouldn't take our time."
The boys had to cross a large wooded area to get home and about half way through the thunder and lightning began followed shortly by a steady rain.
"Looks like we are going to get a little wet."
Ryan replied, "I guess we should have called Dad, but it's too late now!"
Suddenly there was a bright flash with almost an instant shockwave of sound at a bolt of lightning struck not too far away.
"Man that was close, I think we should get away from these trees."
Just at Jeremy said those words there was another bright flash that struck the tree right next to the boys. The bolt went through the tree and jumped to both boys knocking them both down and out cold.
Twenty minutes later Ryan slowly began to awaken.
Ryan reached over to his brother lying next to him, "Hey dude you ok?"
"Hmmm? What happened?" Jeremy asked slow and groggy.
"I'm not sure, I think the lightning almost got us. All I remember was a bright flash and then waking up now."
"Are you hurt?"
"Don't think so just feel a little dizzy. How bout you?"
"I think I'm about the same, lets go home before it happens again."
They proceeded home without any further incidents and headed strait for Ryan's room after checking in with their parents.
"Man, we didn't even get a burn from that and we probably should have died out there," Ryan said as he removed his wet shirt.
Jeremy replied, "I know, but my head still feels find weird," as he also removed his shirt.
Ryan noticed something different about his brother, "When did you start growing a trail?"
"Huh? My legs barely have any hair let alone my stomach!"
"Really, look dude!"
Jeremy looked down at his stomach, "Holy shit! Where did that come from, I didn't have anything there at swim practice."
"Hey, it looks like it's still growing!" Ryan said as they both watching in amazement as the hair grew up to his navel. "It almost looks like mine, just not as thick."
Jeremy replied with, "actually, it looks almost exactly like yours."
Ryan looked down at his stomach. "Half of mine is gone! Something weird is happening, our stomachs look almost identical."
"I also think your hair is starting to get darker," Jeremy added.
"Yours might be getting lighter!"
Both went over to the large mirror on Ryan's wall and looked at each other.
"My nipples are growing! And yours are shrinking!" Jeremy observed.
"I can feel my shoulders contracting, it feels so weird!"
"I can feel mine growing!"
Over the next few minutes they watched each other as Ryan's ears became a little closer to his head while Jeremy's ears stuck out a little. Every part of their body was changing at the same time and in the opposite way.
"Is it over?" Jeremy asked.
"I'm not sure, I don't feel anything or see any more changes."
"Your voice sounds different, but the same," Jeremy added.
"Yours too."
Looking in the mirror at each other in awe Ryan spoke "it looks like we are exactly the same now. Very Identical Twins."

Without even thinking about it both boys dropped their shorts and confirmed what Jeremy had guessed. Everything was exactly the same.
"Very weird," they said as they pulled their short back up.
A few seconds later the door creaked open as the family dog came in.
"Wew, I thought it was dad their for a second," Ryan said as he want to escort the golden retriever out of the room and locked the door.
Just as Ryan touched the dog he felt a little light headed again and took a seat on the bed.
"What is it?" Jeremy asked worried.
" I just felt a little light headed again, that's all." Ryan replied.
"Look at your chest, you're starting to grow more hair!"
Ryan looked down to see a layer of golden blonde hair spread across his pecs, "Not again!"
Before long Ryan's whole body was starting to itch as hair started sprouting everywhere. He turned over and started scratching his lower back until his tailbone began to expand.
"Hey bro, I think you're growing a tail!" Jeremy said checking himself for any hair.
"I noticed," Ryan replied with a slightly rough voice. He watched as his fingers shrank, grew pads and claws. Lying back on his back he watched with quickly splitting vision as his legs shrank and feet lengthened into paws.
Not much longer and Ryan looked exactly like their dog with big shorts on.
"Can you understand me Ryan?"
"Ruff!"
"Is that a yes?"
"Ruff!"
"This is just getting more interesting every moment," Jeremy said as he went to pet his new dog…. err brother.
Just as Jeremy touched Ryan he felt an electric shock and backed away. "Ouch!"
Jeremy was too busy checking himself for dog hair to see that Ryan had begun to change back into his new self. 5 more minutes and they were exact twins again.
"Being a dog just felt so weird yet fun!" Ryan said.
"What do you think that lightning did to us?"
"I'm not sure, but contact with the dog seemed to change me into a copy, but you touching me afterward changed me back."
How bout we sleep on this are try to figure things out in the morning," Jeremy said with a yawn.
"Ok but don't let anyone see you yet we'll hold out on telling anyone til morning."
"Night," Jeremy replied and he snuck to his room.
"Dude, you gotta wake up and see this!" Jeremy said coming into Ryan's room closing the door.
"Let me sleep, it's Saturday!"
"Don't you remember last night, look at this, I have a drivers license!"
"What? You're not even 16 yet."
"Actually I'm almost 16 and ˝; or at least that's what the license says." Jeremy replied.
That woke Ryan up. In front of his face there was a license with their new face and a birthday that was smack dab in the middle of their previous birthdays.
"It looks like everything changed as if we have always been twins!" Jeremy said happily.
Ryan got up and found his wallet and found almost the same drivers license except for the name. "What about Mom and Dad?"
"They didn't look twice when I saw them!" Jeremy said quickly.
"This is just too weird!"
A yell from downstairs echoed through the hall "Breakfast!"
"Here we go." Ryan said as the boys headed downstairs for breakfast.
Ryan and Jeremy sat across from each other at the table and everything seemed like a normal Saturday morning, except they knew a lot had changed.
Half way through breakfast Jared entered the room, having eaten breakfast long before the other boys had gotten up. Jared was 5 and trying to be sneaky he crawled under the table and grabbing Jeremy's legs yelled, "BOO!"
"Hey who's that hiding under the table," Jeremy said feeling a little light headed.
"It's only me," Jared replied with a big smile coming out from under the table.
"I think the cartoons are back on Jared," Ryan said across the table to his little brother and before long he was back in the family room.
The dizziness had worn off by now and Jeremy just continued to eat,
"Did you bleach your hair last night Jeremy? If you did you should add another treatment to get more color out." Their Mom said eating a piece of bacon.
Ryan quickly looked up from his plate to see Jeremy looking wide eyed toward him. Ryan saw that Jeremy definitely had some lighter hair and he might have even lost some height.
Jeremy finally replied with, "Nnnoo… it must be that new shampoo that I just started using, I'll remember not to use it again."
"Hmm, I've never heard of a shampoo doing that before, but it doesn't look too bad." Mom added and moved on to something else.
Jeremy quickly finished his food and got up to take his plate to the kitchen. Ryan watched as the now shorter boy had to grab his shorts before they fell down.
Jeremy put his dishes in the sink and headed back upstairs to see what was happening, holding up his shorts the whole way. He went in the bathroom and closed his door.
Looking in the mirror he could see that he had already lost 6 inches in height and his hair was turning blonde! He also noticed his new trail was now gone and down on his legs he watched as the hair began to retract.
"Here we go again," Jeremy said in an almost childlike voice.
Jeremy's shorts and underwear fell off his thinning waist to reveal his quickly shrinking dick. Before long he was completely hairless except for his head, which was beginning to disappear from view in the mirror.
He proceeded to climb up on the sink to see himself again and was not too surprised to see a blonde little kid no older than 7 that looked almost exactly like Jared. His body continued to shrink until he was no different than Jared.
Jeremy slowly climbed off the huge sink and opened the door to see Ryan.
"Hey Jared, have you seen Jeremy? And why don't you have any clothes on?"
"I am Jeremy!" His little voice replied grabbing his shorts and heading for Ryan's room.
Ryan just chuckled and followed.
Jeremy climbed on the bed and told his brother, "Now touch me and see if I change back, I don't like being this small!"
Ryan reached over with one finger and touched Jeremy's nose.
"Ouch!" Both yelled as an electric shock moved between the two and Jeremy began to grow again.
Ten minutes later both boys had the same body again.
"Well after this morning and last night I think I have just about everything figured out," Ryan started, "I think any skin to skin contact with another person or animal changes us into a copy of that animal and then touching each other resets our bodies back to this."
"I think that sounds about right, unless there is something else we haven't run into yet," Jeremy replied, but it seemed like the whole world changed when we merged but when I began to turn into Jared, Mom noticed my hair right away, so I'm guessing the new changes are quite obvious by others."
"I guess we will have to be careful about contact from now on, we don't want to change in public view and get turned into lab experiments," Ryan added.
"So, what should we do today?" Jeremy said with a smile.
