Not that she believed in the curse, but she hated the idea of being ordered to do anything by some dork from school, even if she would have just ignored it anyway. “Transform.” Jennifer said.
“I was hoping you’d say that!” Kyle said “I had a very special transformation in mind. I know how much you like the smell of flowers, so every time you smell a flower, or experience a natural floral fragrance; you will transform into a fairy. You will have access to almost all fairy abilities, including entering the fairy world, but you cannot change back into a human for one hour.”
“Really, a fairy is the best thing you could come up with?” Jennifer said in a blasé tone.
“Believe me, being a fairy will have some… unexpected experiences in store for someone like you. Just be sure to avoid entering a fairy blossom, or else you may find yourself unable, or even unwilling, to return to your human self.”
“What do you mean by that?”
”Now, now; gotta leave some surprises.” Kyle said. “By the way, as a fairy, I’d suggest calling yourself ‘Juniper’ if you plan to mingle with the fair folk, just to avoid suspicion.”
“Are you quite done yet, I have cheerleading practice to get to.”
Kyle said nothing; he just hung up the phone.
“Pfft, fairy, what a load.” Jennifer muttered to herself. “That couldn’t possibly be real, could it?”
